How’s that work?

They’re burning books to save books (oh, and to make some money).
Personally, I think the demise of the bookstore reflects the rise of the internet, rather than the decline of reading.

if the rise of the internet doesn’t affect the decline of reading, then the book business shouldn’t be so bad to the point people have to start burning books, does it? i think it’s a combination of a lot of things as well. the leisure reading habit isn’t exactly cultivated when we’re forced to read texts and books in school.
